Frequently asked questions
Yes, you’ll still fart… but much less than before. The classic “protein fart” is no joke: poor‑quality whey often contains dozens of unnecessary ingredients and a low protein concentration, which makes digestion chaotic and gas really unpleasant.
At Whey Better, our formulas are different: protein concentration starts at 81% and goes up to 92% in the isolate, with only three ingredients – whey protein, flavouring and sweetener. Our families can confirm it: we still fart, but nobody has to leave the table anymore.
The lactose question
Lactose is naturally present in cow’s milk. In simple terms, it is “milk sugar”, the carbohydrate fraction of milk.
During the filtration process from milk to whey powder, the lactose content is progressively reduced: a whey concentrate ends up with around 13% lactose, while an isolate is closer to 1.5%.
What does this mean for people who are lactose‑sensitive or intolerant? In most cases, lactose sensitivity shows up as digestive issues such as stomach discomfort, bloating or diarrhea. You probably know your own tolerance quite well.
If you love milk but just feel a bit heavy after a big cappuccino, then with Whey Better regular whey a 30 g serving will provide about 4 g of lactose, and it is very likely you will not even notice it.
If, on the other hand, you feel bloated just by walking past the yogurt aisle at your supermarket, then try our Isolate: with only about 0.5 g of lactose in a standard 30 g serving, you should be able to go through your day happily, without any urgent bathroom breaks.
We try to do our best to deliver your whey the quickest we can. It generally takes 3-4 days for Italy and around 5-6 days for France an rest of Europe.
